someone is in the toilet the red light will light up and if the green light is lit, it means the toilet is empty
Good tip. But what happens when somebody is in the toilet but forgot to close the door? :-)
Also a small trivia:
Do you know why it is red and green and not any other colour?
It is because if someone inside the coach get a nature's call, he should 'disconnect' it if he sees it red and answer his nature's...

It's simple arrangement with one relay or switch connection with door latch to light. Which have two Red and Green Light display. Fitting such light system is easy but maintaining the same for longer days is difficult one in IR..
