I don't know regarding patent 😀 But all GTL locos have diamond logo as it is their identity. Many loco sheds have a unique logo like UBL, ED etc., ED has deer logo. UBL has locomotive logo

I use to see that logo for YDM GTL trains in MG days between Gadag Bijapur Gadag. The locos use to maintain at Gadag Loco shed and if any major problem then they use to take GTL shed.. On those loco diamond 💎 logo use to be bit bigger in size.. ☺
