On 19.07.2019 a video conference by CRB and all Board Members with zonal railways and divisions held. In the beginning presentation by respective PSUs on important IT initiatives of Indian Railways:
1- RTIS - Real time train information system which is being implemented for automatic updating train information on control chart for precise information on location of train , speed and inturn better information to passengers on train arrivals etc. This will also enable crew to send messages to control office in case of emergency.

more... - A 22 module database and MIS for complete information related to railway employees which will make processes faster related to promotion , service , settlement ,etc for over 12lakhs Railway employees.
3- HIMS - Hospital information and management system - Under this all health related data of railway employees shall be digitised and UMID card is also being issued. This will help doctor to see complete history of patient thus better treatment. This will also enable employee to go and seek medical help from empaneled hospitals without delay. This has already been implemented on trail basis and shall be implemented on pan IR gradually.
Further during VC CRB stressed that of total identified 167 immediate actionable points by GOI ,06 pertains to Railways which are :
1- WiFi on all station by 30.09.19.
2- Elimination of 100% manned level crossing on GQGD routes for which 100% funding shall be done by GOI.Railways asked to prepare details immediately.
3- 160 Kmph on DLI- HWH and DLI- MUMBAI in next 04 yrs. Cabinet note on this submitted.
4- Signalling up-gradation on IR for cab signalling.
5- Private train operator. 02 trains within sept 2019.
6- Corporatization of PSUs.
CRB stated that corporatization is being done for increasing export , reducing import , quantum jump in quality duly consulting recognised unions.
CRB also informed that GOI has applauded efforts of Railways on digital initiatives.
CRB complemented NCR on punctuality improvement.
GM NCR Sri Rajiv Chaudhry highlighted following important issues of NCR.
1- Right powering of trains specially in JHANSI division to avoid stalling.
2- Bio toilet in all NCR coaches shall be fitted by Aug-19.
3- NCR has completed 14NI since April -19. Further assistance to DFC shall ensure opening of Bhaupur - Khurja section by Nov’19 thus improvement in train running in CNB- NDLS section.
4- Seven safety drives launched and at work place discipline enforced that during shift change staff shall be relieved only when any ongoing activity of train operation is over to ensure safety.
5- GM NCR advised adjoining northern and other railways to ensure proper closing of wagon doors to avoid detention on NCR.
