Nitesh Jha 89 blog postsThe up train should be given an intercity type timing. It can depart Koaa at 15.30hrs and reach Jasidih/Deoghar by 22.00hrs. An intercity train for Kolkata and Deoghar is really needed for the regular commuters. The overnight passengers can still use Mokama pass as an alternative
But we do need a late night sleeper connection as well.Someone who deboards a late night(around 8-9) pm flight is left with himgiri and mka pass as the only two options.That too with zero availability in Himgiri.

Gen to almost pura khali raeta ha, kul mila k 100 hi hote honge aur sleeper bhi half filled reti ha bas. Jab ki es k bas aage chal rae Mokama pass pura packed reti ha
Not at all needed. There is a day connection with Kolkata and a overnight connection to CRJ/ASN stations. Only upgradation should be a 3A and M/E inclusion.

Agreed. Also it can be upgraded to M/E and extended to jhajha.
