With reference to previous post - /blog/post/4349878
Now CR Solapur Division has declared to close Kurduwadi Railway Gate permanently from 2nd August 2019, as the interlocking work going to start soon.
It is expected to commission 35 Km stretch from Wadshinge to Bhalawani by 31st August.

I don't understand why a major trunk route like this is being neglected since last so many years by IR. Its a shame that even after independence where we are seeing so much upgradation in many other routes, rolling stocks, track renewals, T18, new locomotives, etc. This major route connecting Mumbai to Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad and other major cities and parts of South India is still single line in few stretches.
Bhai mai to mamuli rail fan hu. Many senior railfans and many train travellers association, business communities have done it before. But kuch nahi hota. Inka reply bhi sab scripted rehta hai.
