At 160 kmph MPS, the distance of 1383 kms ( NDLS-BCT via RTM ) can NOT be covered in less than 12 hrs by conventional trains...
Even T-20 ( proposed overnite version of T-18) will not be able to cover this distance in 10 hrs...
The print media, as usual writes arbitrarily regarding trains...

This is correct. With an MPS of 160, 12050 is able to attain an average speed of 110+ between NZM and AGC. Realistically, if one drops NAD from 12952's timetable, it should be possible to attain an average of 120, which would cover the distance in just under 12 hours.
