No u r wrong.... in 2000 -02 year what was Santragachi stn...nothing... except EMU trains no long distance trains used to stop there ...nobody used to debord there for kolkata travel..... now see Santragachi stn one of the busiest station of SER many passengers debord here to go to Kolkata....many long distance trains stop here now..., taxi stansd, bus stand ..even there was once talks of METRO train there ...everything developed here na in years...... why cannot Dankuni station not be developed with taxi stand, bus stand, ....etc. ... Dankuni has good potential to connectivity by bus to Kolkata..can be developed...

That is what I am saying. Dankuni will also take a long time to develop, maybe little less but will still take a lot of time. Just goes to show that A/C Trains do not have any respect. And, you have answered your own question I presume. So take rest.

Now it will not take much long to develop Dankuni station because now is more advanced now than it was in 2000-02 yr....
Dankuni already has good road connectivity to Kolkata already.... if long distance trains starts stopping here then Taxi stand will come up, bus stand will come up , new bus routes can be started from Dankuni station ... Dankuni station will get immproved passenger amenities like Lifts, New FOB, Toilets, etc. Platform surface will get improved maybe with Tiles, marble, etc... so overall platform development can happen........ many people will get local employment also near station...... If good response is got then maybe ER think of increasing more platforms and starting any new trains
...
from Dankuni station in future....Dankuni can be developed in Terminal stn someday just like Santragachi stn developed year after year........it is starting hope for best and who knows it will be turnout to be something big in future
