Maurya exp departs RNC around 17:15, and arrives MURI around 18:25, what is the point in unnecessary overtake? Waahiyat time table. Maurya me baad hi RNC departure karwate around 17:30. Abhi isko Maurya me alawa 4 din Rajdhani bhi overtake karegi before MURI.
All express trains take around 1 hour to travel from Ranchi to Muri and all passenger trains take around 1 hour and 30 minutes to cover this distance. Ranchi - Howrah Intercity Express (Train No. - 22892) is allotted 1 hour 5 minutes to cover this distance and it actually always covers this distance in about 1 hour and reaches Muri about 5 minutes before time. This is because between Ranchi and Muri the express trains travel at speeds of 45 - 55 kmph in the ghat section. But in the non ghat sections they run continuously at speeds of 90 - 100 kmph. Keeping 2 hours 13 minutes for this train to travel from Ranchi to Muri is really a joke. If it is allowed to run normally like other express trains, then after leaving from Ranchi at 16:45, it will reach Muri at 17:45, i.e. 1 hour, 13 minutes...

How is the demand/patronage of this train?
I heard from unconfirmed source that CKP Railway Division wants this train to start from CKP, in order to get a connecting for STEEL, ie, the train will start from CKP early hrs and reach TATA before departure of STEEL, and after returning from RNC will start after arrival of Steel and stay night at CKP.
Though the source of info is not confirmed!
