I think NFR probably the most weak section in Indian Railways. Most of the lines are till now in single tack. Signalling system in some portion is also very much back dated. They first have to make the doubling track atleast between NJP to Guwahati ( Some portion in this route still single track ). After that they may think Railway Electrification. I think in this section Railway Electrification is less important than Rail Track doubling .
