30203 GOM shed WAP-7 (now transferred to HWH) smashes the peace and quiet rural evening with its sheer honking, and thunderous speed.. For a couple of years, ER banned GMO WAP-7 from entering its territory following the derailment of 12302 Howrah Rajdhani Express at Baruipara. And high officials banned the locos from running at more than 110 km/hr..
Finally daddy of ECR, i.e. ER decided to let the GMO WAP-7 return to their Kingdom, before the whole fleet is transferred to HWH..
Be it ER, ECR, WAP-7 or WAG-7, these iron monsters are nothing but disturbing elements for these small stations... Hajigarh is a small town situated on the high speed HB Chord section.. All the Expresses arrogantly skip the station without any mercy.. Sometimes they dont even honk, though there's a level crossing adjacent to the platform premises.. So the people's first and last choice remains the EMUs.. And a few railfans hate these slow-mo EMUs.. For such people, I want to say... Please give a thought for these villagers.. You are shattering their peace.. Atleast give them a chance to visit the metro and cosmopolitans to earn a living.. Like you, they too have a family.. Just the difference is that you switch on the AC in the night, and they switch off their lamps..
