Not required. Let it be as goods yard. Public transport to this station i.e., Ballari Cantonment Halt (BYC) is better than Ballari Cantonment (BYC2). You can get city buses, autos and KSRTC buses towards Hosapete, Sandur, Gangavathi, Hubballi etc., nearby Ballari Cantonment Halt in case if you miss a train
Yah I mean that more loop line are there so BYC2 but preferable is now BYC HALT. As you told I am agree with it.
Freight trains stand on those loop lines. Passenger/Express trains can overtake freight trains at Ballari Cantonment
