The Malda Division is proud owner of the First Indian Railways Tunnel built in 1861 at Ratanpur station near
Jamalpur, for construction of HWH – BGP – Varanasi Railway line.

Malda division & Indian Railway is also proud in failure to make parallel tunnel for line doubling even in 2019. British completed it in 1861.
Haan Bhai. Lekin ye kaun aur kaise decide kiya ki zarurat 2000 mein pdi thi, lekin 2019 mein bhi complete nhi hua😂🤣? Logically it should have been completed along with track doubling work which itself was delayed over a decade.
