This train (16315) has been regularly reaching almost 1.5 hours before its scheduled arrival at SBC. With most of the trains taking 2hrs 20 minutes to cover distance between MYS and SBC, this train is also able to traverse the distance and reaches SBC at 3:30pm daily on an average. Halts at SBC for almost 90 minutes.
They can easily delay departure from Mysuru as one platform in SBC is occupied for a long time. This can be made free to receive/dispatch couple of more trains

Ok alright. Earlier i was not aware that it used to be stationed in the platform. I guess considering that there are constraints in SBC regarding PF availability ( Have heard that trains from MYS cannot be received in PF 1 to 4....not sure about it though) it would have been better to ensure reduced waiting time for pass through trains.
But as you have mentioned there are other trains following it so any change would affect others as well

On the issue of before time arrival at SBC of 16315 (many times almost 1.5 hrs before time), seems SWR has got a diff reason altogether. As per their attached response, Mysore does not have fuelling facility for WLRRM coaches hence extra time at SBC is being used in this regard. There are so many other LHB trains originating from Mysore........was wondering how fuelling happens for those trains !!!
For Shatabdi runs on HOG and for Humsafar, Ajmer fuelling is done at UBL and for SNSI exp its at SBC. New fuelling point at MYS is nearing completion
Good to hear regarding new fuelling point. I thought there were more trains like Mys-Varanasi, Mys-Kacheguda., MY-Chennai and couple more i guess. And now there is a high chance of Udyan also getting extended till MYS. But yes if the new fuelling point comes about then problem is solved to a good extent
Even Mys Chennai runs on Hog and Varanasi also runs on Hog between Mys to Sbc(not all the times
