Why Jayanti Janatha is still a 17 coacher? The train is much popular daily train to Mumbai. I heard once that it is because of platform length in CSMT. But at the same time many trains are 20+ coaches. JJ needs to be augmented.
The pf which Hussiansagar Hyd exp kanyakumari exp chennai mail and pube bound trains used are of 18 coach length only while other pfs are capable of 24 coach trains. The reason for this is the pfs cannot be extended and require change in alignment of tracks and yard as mentioned in one of the replies in blog long time back. Someone from CR who has good knowledge could explain.
