When I have so many slow and fast option from BSB then why including DDU.
1)Shivganga Exp/Vande Bharat (depends on the time of the day).
2) Mahamana Exp (unmatched comfort)
3)Manduadih SF/Kashi Vishwanath Exp

With due respect to you, I will say it's totally individual choice.
As for distance -
DDU to BSB is 17 KM . Is it too much one would say ?
Do people living in Dwarka not go to Anand Vihar for catching a train [38 KM]

Yes absolutely, depends on individual preferences, though my guess is when BSB itself have so many train to look into, why would one seek DDU to catch Rajdhani who are scarce in seat availability too from DDU.
So it's upon convenience of the passenger.
As for me, I just need a confirmed ticket to travel and that's all, though I could be picky in having preferences of my own at the first place itself.

I can say couple of reasons for my preference,If I need to summarise , I will just say - My love for Raj [Rajdhani Express] .I have travelled extensively in HWH/SDAH/RJPB/DBRT . Accordingly Seat availability for/at DDU [any ways I just needed 1 seat in the train] or reaching DDU , all these things got resolved.
Yes ofcourse, people may prefer the train of their choice, and as always there's nothing worthy than a speedy Rajdhani with unmatched priority and comfort
