as part of this year's venture, I'm attempting my longest ever train trip. To begin with, I'm taking the Empire Builder - slip from Portland, Oregon to Spokane, Washington in Coach Class (AC Chair Car equivalent). From Spokane, I'll be transferring to the other slip coming from Seattle, Washington in Sleeper Class (2A equivalent) all the way to Chicago, Illinois. I'll then head to St Louis and eventually intend to return to Los Angeles by the Southwest Chief.
