১৮৫৫ সালের ৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি হুগলি জেলার পান্ডুয়া থেকে বর্ধমানে প্রথম রেল পথ চালু হয়,আজ থেকে প্রায় ১৬৫ বছর পূর্বে, বর্ধমানের সেদিনের ট্রেন আগমনের ছবিটি নিচে দেওয়া হলো , রেল স্টেশনের মূল ভবনটি সেই সময় নির্মাণ সম্পূর্ণ হয়ে গিয়েছিল,১৬৫ বছরের এই হেরিটেজ ভবনটি আজ সন্ধ্যায় হুড়মুড় করে ভেঙে পরলো,আমরা আবার একটি হেরিটেজ রক্ষা করতে ব্যার্থ হলাম ।।
Rail connectivity was started from Pandua to Burdwan of Hooghly district on 3rd February 1855. The Heritage building was constructed 165 years ago. A part of the Heritage building collapsed yesterday injuring one & killing one person.
