Goods trains traffic is more than passengers trains traffic to Guntur. Today I was in Guntur Railway Station from 10:00 to 12:30. Some goods trains with different sheds locos passing Via-GNT station between 10:00 to 12:30.

As the BOXN wagons are pulled by WAG9 indicates they are empty coal rakes returning from Kadapa RTPS and returning to either Singareni BCM or Mahanadi coal fields in Orissa . So this is the reason for electrification though it is single line.
