Abhi~ 8548 blog postsif a train is diverted on a particular day and we get a message well in advance , then how to book a ticket from a station which lies on the diverted route ?

Booking is not allowed , yet. You can board from the stations in diverted route
so a general SF ticket would suffice and i would not be penalized for the same?
nope ...but how to get a reserved ticket from a diverted station ..that was my initial query ?...
You can board the train at the station, and you can show the message in case if ticket checker arrives.
