I had visited at the accident site on yesterday evening and by seeing the first picture one can understand how terrible accident it was, loco cabin was totally damaged.
Accident occurred at the ganiyari area(Waidhan - bijpur road) of singrauli district before mayar river bridge.
NCL amlori project's 80 tonne crane started rescue operation after the accident but unfortunately both loco pilots and one pointsman died on the spot. 😢

the evening at almost 6 PM accident relief train has been arrived on the accident spot and will be restored the track soon. (Last 3 pics)
The main reason behind this accident was that fully coal loaded train was coming from amlohri and an empty goods train was going towards amlohri but before the mayar river bridge there was a manually controlled newly built track changing point without signal and at that point coal loaded train collided with the centre of the empty train and coal loaded loco RH009 WDG3 collapsed from the railway track and after that one empty coach of goods train collapsed on the cabin of RH009 loco. This is totally failure of NTPC management.
