There was this article which came in the MAQ edition of TOI obviously highlighting double standards of KR. But what is even more interesting is one particular sentence which is quoted as follows: "With Angadi coming under fire that his move to introducing new trains in Karnataka was causing loss to railways'". .......
Not sure how much of that sentence is right but certainly not a good thing if his focus and attention is only on one state. When it gets highlighted across obviously others will start their protests. Unfortunately with these introductions someone had to lose and seems MYS lost connectivity to coastal Karnataka.

MP's tend to introduce trains to their constituency once they become in-charge of railway ministry. But current MoSR has gone a step ahead and addressed the needs of state. Karnataka s railway infrastructure and network is poor compared to other major states even though it contributes a large sum as tax to national treasury. Railways should think about white elephant ( premium trains ) in other states which they haven't cancelled even after incurring losses before talking about Karnataka.

He is doing same as his predecessor, But taking user and forum consultation. Bgm-Sbc sf, Bgm-Vsg pass, Bjp-Majn Exp, trains on Hpt-Dvg section, etc, all are required trains missing very important connectivity. I guess RM coming from other state will not understand the importance of these intrastate connection, which were missing from decade after gauge conversion. He has introduce few more connections like, Bluru-Bidr Sf via Klbg, Ubl-Bidr, Ngp-Vsg/Majn, Ubl-Nzm, etc.

I think one thing which he has definitely done well is to shift focus out of capital city. As rightly said by another member, compared to neighbouring states of KL, TN if you look at overall state rail connectivity, in Karnataka it is a bit poor . He has come and tried to change some of that though there is still a long way to go.
