Several new personalization features have been introduced, as per site usage feedback and changing circumstances. Further details coming soon.
The most important feature is in your "Member Settings". Now you can specifically check/uncheck the "Post Types" which you wish to see and get Notifications on. So, for example, if you uncheck "Congratulations.." and "Anecdotes", you will NOT see the posts, unless you SPECIFICALLY choose to see them. Also, you will NOT get notifications about certain categories of posts.
So, the major cause for complaint regarding "off-topic" posts has now been removed. If you...

Due to widespread misunderstanding and doubts about the "Member Follow" feature, the same has now been inactivated. You may continue to follow interesting discussions by selecting "Follow this Blog Entry". You will be notified in a separate tab when there are further replies.
Also, "News Super Search" has now been introduced. You can search past news using any combination of parameters. Particularly useful may be the date range search in combination with other factors. For example, you may see how many New/Special trains were introduced in the month of October 2011, and so on.
