Work on the two additional lines between Thane-Diva, which was suspended during the lockdown, will restart this week. The work of forging a 100 tonne steel bridge which will then be assembled at the site has begun in Kota.
Sources in the Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC), which is working on the project, said they have been collaborating with the state government and supply manufacturers.
