New Follower option is implemented to this site.
It helps a member to follow any other member or admin so that on log-in he will be able to see the updates by the member or admin he follows directly from the notification bar.

Go to my 1st entry in of this blog and select Follow from Actions or go to my profile and select follow
Ok, I see the option of following particular member thru his profile. But I think following 1st entry will follow thread and not member.
