Trains from malda to Rampurhat travels at a avg speed of 55-60 km/hr while trains from rampurhat to malda travels at a speed 35-45 km/hr

Apart from speed issues in this sction, Rampurhat (RPH) is most neglected railway station in eastern railway. The Kamakhya Temple in Kamakhya and Tara Maa Temple in Rampurhat (9Km from RPH ) both are popular and well known the Shakti Peethams in India. Even through Rampurhat Railway Station (RPH) is one of the six NSG-3 / A category railway stations in Eastern Railway and third busiest railway station in Howrah division (After Howrah (HWH) and Barddhaman (BWN) railway station) due to huge number passengers are used this station to visit the Tara Maa temple, but there is no such direct dedicated express train to connect other parts of India ( like Delhi / Patna / Gaya ) from Rampurhat except state capital Kolkata. On the other hand Kamakhya is well connect to every parts of India through dedicated express train. Examples- Kamakhya -Anand Vihar Weekly Express, Kamakhya –Mumbai LTT Karmabhoomi...
