I have heard two news about Sealdah Station.

1. Change of numbering of platform. i.e. no. 4A , 9A, 9B , 9C etc. It will be just 1 to 21.

I don't think it is possible to increase the lengths of Pf. 2,3 and 4. If they have been increased to accomodate 12 coach EMUs then it would be awesome, but I have my reservations regarding the space available here.

Yes, space is currently not available for increasing their lengths. Only 4A length was increased recently to cater to 12-Coach EMUs.

Pf. 4A always had the option of getting increased in length because of the adjoining pf. 5. They could have done it earlier but I guess they could not find time due to excess of suburban trains.

The platform length was increased long back bro, even before lockdown was imposed. The only problem was probably with a constraint due to alignment of tracks immediately after exiting the platform. That is the portion which they have corrected during the lockdown meticulously.
