Sectional speed in Majorda-#VascoDaGama increased from 75 Kmph to 100 Kmph between 92.5 Km to 99.3 Km & from 65 Kmph to 75 Kmph between 99.3 Km to 108.5 Km. after carrying out track renovation & engineering works.The increase in speed will reduce travel time & improve punctuality.

Hope the MPS on KR can improve to 130 KMPH after electrification.
TVC Raj, LTT-ERS Duronto can save upto an hours time.

Doubling work is in progress between Madgaon - Kulem. Work yet to start between Majorda - Vasco & is being opposed by locals.
Doubling is need of Hour. KR network is so congested that one slow service or Freight ahead of such AC LHB train will hinder hitting high MPS.
KR tracks were already constructed to handle 130kmph. The speed was reduced due to safety concerns after a series of accidents on the route in the early 2000's.
Those safety considerations are the ones stopping the speed upgrade, not electrification.
