If Braganza ghats are not capable to bear the load of 24 coaches train, then instead of giving excuses, SWR should develop the section and should also develop the Vasco Da Gama station as a premier world-class terminal station.
Instead of Karmali/Madgaon, Vasco da Gama should be developed as a premium terminal station. If possible, a bypass line should...

Compare it with the Northeast region stretch starting from all the way Lumding to Silchar/Aizawl/Kohima/Manipur, and also with Katra-Qazigund stretch, and also with Uttarakhand rail projects like Rudraprayag-Karna Prayag areas. If railways can make the whole Konkan stretch a 110+kmph mps stretch with trains like Janshatabdi and Tejas doing the high-speed honours, then why this tiny 20-30 km stretch of Kulem to Castle rock is under-developed? I am seeing this stretch in the same condition and hardly 2-3 new trains coming up in the past 15 years. I used to travel in Vasco-Vijayawada Amaravati express way back in 2003/2004/2005.
