Suri~ 7928 blog postsCR Pune division should combine both these (11418/Nagpur - Pune Humsafar Express 11417/Pune - Nagpur Humsafar Express 22140/Ajni - Pune Humsafar Express 22139/Pune - Ajni Humsafar Express ) Humsafars and make a one single Pune-Nagpur Bi-weekly Humsafar.
First they should change the timings and speedup to complete journey in 14hrs. Volvo buses cover in 13 hrs. Should leave 1800 to reach at 800 in both sides and can make triweekly. Another triweekly GR is running.
all the trains between Pune and Nagpur is running on the same schedule. The speed is the same, be it GR or SF or BSP SF or HTE SF or Azad hind or the Humsafars. Except for the Duronto, rest all are having nearly the same journey time between pune-nagpur. This is due to single line between DD-MMR and trains forcefully having to have slack between Kopargaon and Manmad. Nearly 1 hour is taken for covering the KPG-MMR as it has to join the trunk line.
Whereas buses don't have any these kind of restrictions.
