• One of the longest trains of SR with the least number of coaches. SR wanted to increase coaches to 21-22 but CR had objected since 3 PF’s in Mumbai CSMT couldn’t accommodate more than 17 coaches.
• Alternative given by CR was to shift it to LTT but many passenger associations had objected as this was the oldest daily train in this route originating from CSMT
• And now in the middle of all this Mumbai connection has been removed .

One of the main reason is , even if SR gives LHB to JJ, it requires SM at Mumbai end as it overshoots the route kilometers.
With this short termination and LHB induction, they can eliminate SM at CR end,.
Later we can expect change in slot for anyone direction and save one rake , just like what happened to CBE LTT
