• In olden days Britishers wanted to lay a new railway line to Srikakulam Town but at that time the Brahmins/locals in the Srikakulam Town opposed for railway line as they were fear about the sounds of locos/trains so britishers withdraws the project, if the project came exists we have a terminal station at Srikakulam Town.
• Now the locals of Srikakulam Town demands for new railway station at Srikakulam Head Quarters.
• Better to lay a new railway line to Srikakulam Town with a branch line between Ponduru to Dusi to connect...

MAS-HWH main line.
• CHE/PSA never get pitlines even after formation of SCoR because as they were on main line & have less potential of patronage for new trains & here the problem is Srikakulam District have so many villages/mandals, every mandal have demands to Hyderabad/Bengaluru Connection but Amadalavalasa Station never helps to them wishlists.
• Better to propose Srikakulam Town Terminal Station with 1-2 Pitlines & start new trains to Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Chennai etc. & run MEMU services to VSKP/IPM/BAM. Srikakulam District Head Quarters have better connections to rest of District.
