Train Number : 22682/MGR Chennai Central - Mysuru Weekly SF Express
Source

: SBC/KSR Bengaluru Jn
Destination : MYS/Mysuru Jn
Date : 21st February, 2020

After a good skip of Nayandahalli, we had slowed down while entering Jnanabharathi Halt. Again a skip of a deserted station.

05:44 AM
We slowly entered Kengeri and arrived at KGI 5 mins before time. Nobody boarded our coach as the doors were locked by one of the guys in the coach.
With a long horn, our train departed KGI. Some traces of sunlight appearing.
Again we started accelerating and soon reached the speed around 80 kmph.

With a speed maintained at 80-85 kmph, we skipped Hejjala and slowed down again near Bidadi due to a PSR at Bidadi..Again past Bidadi we accelerated quickly to 100.
We had the view of sunrise in front of a small water body near Ketohalli. That was just mesmerizing..

Had an MPS skip of Ramanagaram. This was the first station seen with people so far in the journey. The Ramanagaram - KSR Bengaluru MEMU was at PF 1 waiting for its trip to start. People were waiting for the Mysuru - MGR Chennai Central SF Express. We were 7 minutes early at Ramanagaram

Then we trashed through Channapatna, people were more here when compared to Ramanagaram but still no sign of MYS MAS ICE. Just after Channapatna, the honking of WAP-7 was heard and soon the MYS MAS ICE thrashed past us. It was at 70s. A good MPS skip of the deserted Shettyhalli and Nidaghatta halt stations. Just past Nidaghatta, we met Kannur - KSR Bengaluru Express (Via Mysuru), a MPS crossing. Both trains at more than 100 kmph. That train disappeared in seconds..

06:15 AM
We were slowed down near Maddur and slowly we entered Maddur for an unofficial halt.. We had an halt for a minute and departed. We slowly started to accelerate, not a too much hard acceleration as the next halt was not too distant away..

06:25 AM
Skipped Hanakere at around 65kmph and had a crossing with the on-time running Vishwamanava Express. A heavily crowded train......It was not at much speed..

06:35 AM
Arrived Mandya almost 20 minutes before time. Departed after a short 2 mins halt at Mandya. Thought we would overtake TLGP - MYS with the speed we were going..

But that did not happen as were made to crawl till Chandagiri Koppal halt. By that time TLGP - MYS had crossed Srirangapatna.

Crossed Mysuru - KSR Bengaluru MEMU at Chandagiri Koppal halt where the train was at halt. And then we were given full clearance.. We trashed Pandavapura at 90 kmph. Also crossed the halted legendary Chamundi Express at Pandavapura.

Nearing Srirangapatna, our speed was reduced for a PSR at the Srirangapatna curve. We crossed the Kaveri North Bridge, skipped Srirangapatna at around 50kmph. The crossed the other part of Kaveri, Kaveri South...

The rest part will be continued including a bit of experience in Mysuru
