But why no thought was given to the entry and exit of anara.it is also quite time consuming.line from prr end is made to enter a branch line and then enter a pf at anr.same is the case for down trains.this also should have been thought
Dats true.only 5 kms won't matter much.but yes if it is doubled capacity will surely increase in this route.u have asn RNC ,asn bksc,puru,jalianwala bagh.also freight can also get a boost from bksc end to tata end avoiding ksx.so I feel it should be doubled.now let's see what rail thinks.changing tracks also takes time.with so many trains now being diverted through dankuni bhattanagar Abdul .this route surely will be doubled
Anara was planned to house a large factory. Later multiple smaller ones came. To adjust them a freight yard was constructed on both sides. This yard compromised the mainline structure. However, SER has in mind to redo the alignment to let pass trains at MPS. Hopefully, with tripling the mainlines will be back along with additional platforms at ANR.
