This is big Travelogue, each and every moment is a wonderful moment.
💖This Journey one of top 5 journeys in my life💖
⚠️So please read it fully : )
We got up early at 4:00, my aunt and my grandma prepared breakfast and lunch for us, for Breakfast they prepared Vegetable Pulav and for lunch my grandma prepared karuvadu(dryed fish) Curry.
Came out of house and feel and breath the early morning fresh air.
All were ready now, waiting for auto, the auto came at nearly 5:42. We hurried up as there is only 30 mins more to board train. I kept all luggages at auto and we hit the road at 5:50 nearly.
Reached station at 6:10, my grandma and my aunt came to send off us, they went to buy tickets.
While i'm and my mom took all luggages and running to front of the station, as its my wish. We were standing first from the nameboard of station.
Suddenly the announcement was given for our train, and also for Yesvantpur - Shivamogga Express which was delayed heavily. My grandma and aunt came with tickets.
Now i'm waiting for train, very eager to see "what would be the loco link, it will wdp4 or wdp4b/ lhf or shf".
I prayed to God that the loco link should be a LHF EMD.
Within few seconds a great Humming sound.
The EMD humming often, (not continuously humming).
When the loco visible to me, it was a SHF EMD without yellow lines (means i thought it would be a wdp4) , roaring on entering Shivamogga station. Its a Goosebumps Feel. Slowly came near to me , the loco was UBL WDP4B. and crossed and stopped, we were near slr that time. We went back by one coach, that coach actually empty, i expected that the seats will 40% occupied before coming to smet, but the coach was empty.
I got my dream seat, "near to engine, view on to tracks, right side seat". I felt i'm really lucky that time.
Now we were in the second coach from EMD, Wow!! I'm very happy that time.
Once i boarded train the wdp4d respected his brother wdp4b and arrived silently into smet at pf2.
At 6:45 the LP gave a long low tense horn and departed slowly, the EMD humming at morning was superb. Negotiated a short curve after departed SMET, it was a great scene.
Switched tracks and slowly notched up to 4. Enjoyed the beautiful shivamogga urban regions.
Now the time to cross Tunga Bridge, i expected that the train will slow down here, as there SME halt ahead after bridge, but the LP notched up to 6 arrived Shivamogga very fast. I can't see the Passengers. After crossing half of the station, the EMD stopped humming and applied strong brakes. And halted at shivamogga at 6:49 and departed at 6:50. Again LP gave a long horn and departed from SME. Slowly notched up to 6. I was searching for smoke from EMD but there's no smoke, i thought the LP slowly accelerating the train.
I was seeing the beautiful countryside and peacocks through windows.
While i checked the speed the EMD suddenly accelerated to 85 kmph, i can't believe it.
And arrived Bhadravathi with 3 mins delay.
Departed after a 2 mins halt, crossed the mighty Bhadra river Bridge.
A fantastic run upto tarikere. The delay at tarikere was nearly 10 mins.
Between tarikere and Birur we had our breakfast pulav,
The train ran slowly at some places between tarikere and Birur.
We arrived birur jn at pf1 with a delay of more than 15 mins.
Kochuveli Hubballi SF Express was standing at pf2 with WDP4D.
Departed Birur after 2 mins halt.
The scenery between birur and kadur was mesmerizing, betel-nut trees near to tracks and big long curve, it was awesome. Arrived kadur fastly and departed after 1 min halt,while we were slowly departing from kadur, chikmagalur - Shimoga Passenger crossed us at kadur outer with a chugging ED alco.
A MPS run from Kadur to Arsikere, the climate was cloudy, seeing the western ghats through windows , was lovely.
The peaks of western ghat was closed with clouds.
We arrived arsikere at 8:44 with a delay of 14 mins.
A kjm alco was idling at Arsikere yard, we bought Idly at Arsikere , it tasted good with chutney.
After refueling, we departed arsikere after a 10 mins halt.
I saw a old icf coach of 90's , it was in aqua colour.
The WDP4B showed its aggression, accelerated madly,
The echo sounds of humming and honking was wonderful. After touching 100 kmph the EMD stopped humming and released air, its also echoed, this moments were a unforgettable, only if you travelling in my place, you can enjoy this.
Crossed with UBL Janshatabdi with kjm wdm3a
After a high speed run, slowed at shri sharada nagar nagar, the track sound was super there, that sound was like lhb chugging.
Arrived tiptur with a delay near of 15 mins.
Accelerated madly again after departing tiptur, before one station, our train slowed downed and stopped for 2 mins, then we departed, the halt was to cross with Chalukya Express, the loco link of chalukya kjm wdp4d
While ceossing our loco was continuesly honking and accelerating.
Not uniform run, slow run of 20 kmph at some places between tiptur-tumkur stretch.
Crossed with SMET/UBL Passenger with beautiful wdp4 twins at gubbi.
Arrived Tumkur with a delay of nearly half an hour. Departed tumkur after a 2-4 mins halt.
Not accelerated till kyatsandra outer. After nearing kyatsandra, the LP blowed a long horn and started to smoke and accelerate madly, due to eco of humming from kyatsandra station, my brother feared and woke up from sleep. Touched 105 MPS , suddenly the loco pilot applied emergency brake, that time i felt like someone pushing me from back, really a great braking effort, decelerated from 95 kmph to 0 within a minute.
We stopped before hirehalli, 3 peoples deboarded train, i thought that they may pulled the emergency brake. But the LP didn't gave any horn for emergency brake . After stopping the train he just gave a long horn. It stop may also for danger signal.
Then after five to ten mins we departed from there and accelerated slowly, after 10 mins, our LP notched up fully and slowed down. In that place the right side track towards ubl, was elevated. (@ locals, please guess the location). We slowed down there, last year we crossed vishwamanava at before that place.
So now I 'm and my brother expected for a train crossing in that place, but any train didn't crossed us.
But after that place, Vishwamanava crossed us slowly with wdp4d.
While we were crossing vishwamanava our train was accelerating at its best.
We were racing with a ac bus at NH and we overtook it. Keep this bus in your mind.
THE BEST MOMENT OF THE ENTIRE JOURNEY COMES HERE!!!
As the wdp4b accelerating at its best, it touched its mps. I saw bleed blue SHF EMD in the opposite track which will be crossing us , it was kjm wdp4. Both train blasted Nidvanda at MPS , the opposite train was mysuru Varanasi express,
Our train was overspeeded, and applied a slight brake.
That time the Nidvanda station was filled with dust.
Both train crossing a station at full MPS , just thing how it will be.
I'm and my brother enjoyed that moment very much.
A high speed uniform upto chik banavar.
Our train stopped near Yesvantpur Bybass. It was the place were ypr yard starts.
I was very eager to see the locos and trains at YPR yard.
After 5-10 mins stoppage we departed slowly, we saw pune wdm3d, wap4s, kjm alcos, kannur Yesvantpur train,
Reached Ypr at pf3 with a delay of nearly one hour.
A garib rath was standing after us. At pf1 a train(may be hwh duronto) standing with wap7.
Departed ypr after a 5mins+ halt. The wap4 and a wap7+wap4 dead and a wdp4 lined up before the garib rath.
Seen another original cab wdp4 .
As i'm seeing that wdp4 behind there was traffic road, i saw the same bus which we overtook after tumkur.
Enjoyed the beautiful urban buildings and areas of bengaluru. Though bengaluru is a metropolitan, i can feel fresh air and good vibes at bengaluru, there were also some slum which near to tracks.
And again we stopped at bengaluru outer before o.8 km to bengaluru. The WDP4B released air, that sound echoed to me, that awesome, we were waiting there upto 20 mins, finally heared some horn sound, it was kjm shunter with rajdhani, it was looped to next track after us. After that wdp4b gave long horn which echoed we departed. Within 2 mins the rajdhani too reversed and running parallel with us.
Finally arrived bengaluru at pf8 , pf9 was empty.
