Ye Hon. Pratibhatai Patil ji ka project nahi tha.... ye project Rail Minister Mr. Sadananda Gowda ne announce kiya tha...aur is ka main purpose tha Bangalore - New Delhi route ko short karna... Washim - Badnera ka uddesh bhi ye hi tha....
Now Minister changed....... Priorities changed.
BTW as per the information given by old local people. Amravati - Narkher project was actually planned by British Govt.. But then before starting the work, India had got freedom from Britishers and then project could be completed after more that 100 years.
