but still no dedicated daily connectivity
railways is just missing a big chance there are approximately 20 overnight busses plying in this route with very high fare

The problem is constant opposing bus lobby. They are making lots of money from bhopal and Indore passengers who are having dearth of trains to cities like Pune/Nagpur and have to travel but buses.
