EMU and MEMU dono trains ko chalane k liye kya kya basic requirements difference hota hai , woh hai ( rake technicalities or mode of running ko chor k):

1. EMU Trains chalane k liye Platform k Heights jyada hona chahiye because EMU mein ladder aur side handle nehin hota hai, so low level platform se passengers EMU trains mein char nehin payega, but MEMU mein complete ladder aur side handle hota hai.

MEMU mein Vestibule aur Toilets hota hai, EMU mein nehin hota.
3. MEMU mein Vendor coaches nehin hai, EMU mein hai.
4. EMU mainly short distance k liye use hota hai , MEMU long distance mein bhi use hota hai because MEMU mein Toilet facilities hota hai so long distance mein passengers ko dikkat nehin hota.
So, mainly EMU trains ko chalane k liye huge infrastructural changes karna parta hai:
1. Raising Heights of all platforms
2. Raising the sitting arrangements, water booth, FOB base Modification, etc all those that r present on that particular platform which is required to be raised to high level from low level.
3. If Any rooms on low level platform present there also modification to be done to accommodate high level platform.
These r basic , aur bhi bohut sare modification required hai. Abhi IR ka jo situation hai itna paisa chote chote stations k liye nehin karega RB. So, EMU nehin chalega, woh MEMU trains hai.
