*Possibility of plying trains like Gatiman and Vande Bharat on Mumbai/ Pune - Hyderabad route.

*Travel time between Pune - Solapur to reduce to 2.5 hrs with high speed trains.

*Speed limit of regular mail-express trains to be increased to 130/140 kmph, which will reduce the travel time between Mumbai - Solapur to 6 - 7 hrs, Bengaluru/Tirupati - Solapur to 10 - 11 hrs, Hyderabad - Solapur to 4 - 5 hrs.

*Premium trains will be plied via this route between major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi and Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai.

*Solapur can be developed as a major railway hub on Indian railway network.
