Not really. Pendukonda has 2 Single line sections to Dharmavaram, so it is like having a double line anyway. The real challenge is doubling of Deverapalle-Penukonda. Last I heard, only 20-30% of work was completed on this stretch.
Devearapalli to Hindupur track laying and electrification is also completed. I think from Hindupur to Penukonda land levelling is completed long back. Have to wait and see
Then I think they are going to commission the double line upto HUP. We'll have to wait and see.
Yes, they will commission upto Hindupur. Yesterday I have observed that erection of poles started from Penukonda side, poles, sleepers and ballast is procured from the Penukonda side
I saw in a video that Doddaballapur to Makalidurga route has been doubled. The other section from Yelahanka to Doddaballapur is pending, since there is a track changing going on at Rajanukunte, and Yelahanka is yet to be connected.
