Dear Friends ,if there is straight 5 tracks of 50 km length with no slope /gradients etc .we have engines WAP 5,WAP 7 ,WAG9 ,WDP 4 and steam loco Big boy 4014 of US railways all lined up in each track .They all start at same time .Who is likely to win Race and why

Thanks ,The wheel of this steam engine is more than double size of average human being. It has very few nos running in USA as of now .But still maintained by Pacific rail

Nope. The Big Boy could only hit 130kmph.
And in general steam locomotives are inferior to diesel and electric locos in terms of acceleration. The Big Boy will take a much longer time to reach its maximum speed compared to the WAP5.
