Tata motors plant was in a different place , that was in Singur Hooghly district, this is in Midnapur purba district, far away two places.
Tata motors incident was very bad for West Bengal and all its people. That industry would have changed the face of WB today. Many people would have got employment, whole singur area would have developed as a modern township as not only tata motors but also around 100 ancillary industries was to be set up around the Tata motors plant.
