Tehri dam , kudankulam nuclear power plant, ... the list continues.
all of these are funded by some foreign sources which don't want development of out country and the locals (mostly uneducated ) fall prey to them in this anti national work.

We should also blame Govt. of Goa and SWR for not providing necessary clarifications by organising press conferences and stuff. Many innocent people even highly educated are mislead into protesting by these NGOs and other groups who have their own hidden political and social agendas.
But also there are many sensible Goans who are supporting the development projects but it's the job of the govt. and Railways to clear the confusion by providing necessary facts.

Even ex PM Shri Manmohan Singh said the same thing regarding one project of a nuclear power plant somewhere in Kerala or TN can't remember exactly.

Yes rightly said .Goa govt and railways should come out individually or jointly and clear the doubts and apprehenions of the public. Some clarification and information is always better than abolute silence
