Can someone tell status of Katni-singrauli-garhwa road doubling work? In addition to this, IR should also make Y-leg bypass at garhwa road and sonnagar. I hope IR must have thought it. It will off-load prayagraj-ddu line traffic of west to east trains. Without both bypass only JH-southern WB will benefit. If bypass is made Bihar, North bengal and North-East too will benefit.

A Youtube video content with link above tries to explain an under construction rail section on outskirts of Garhwa Road junction, near to Koyal river bridge. A byepass line connecting Garhwa town station and Sigsigi via Garhwa Link has already been inaugurated and is in action. railway station will be used as down traffic between Garhwa town and Garhwa Road junction.

Currently, Garhwa Road - Garhwa town rail line and Sigsigi - Garhwa town rail lines are separate tracks not interferring each other. But, to utilize the newly laid rail line between Garhwa town and Belchampa Koyal bridge as second line towards Garhwa Road junction and to utlize the old Koyal bridge rail track as down rail line between Sigsigi and Garhwa town, both rail tracks will have to intersect near Koyal river. This will form a diamond crossing near Koyal river and will be in jurisdiction of Garhwa Road junction under Dhanbad division of East Central Railway.
