Nearly after TEN YEARS The second line from North Coimbatore to Irugur Come to the final stage.(18Kms.)
The safety commissioner of Southern railways inspects the new line and contact the trail ran also. We hope, the regular service shortly.

Yes. It is long felt dream come true. Hope that in coming trains are not held up at Irugur any more.
Could any one explain the reason for the section remaining single line for such a long period? I remember being told that it is due to some land acquisition problem involving some bigwigs for a very small stretch near Ganapathy. Even I have seen pillars for a railway bridge standing in middle of a nullah for the past more than 30 years. Any one have information on this?
