Loco reversal at SRR is too slow. It will take atleast an hour or so after going to SRR. One thing can be done is run Cbe-maq exp behind Sabari all the way, and for return 16860 can be used till OTP/PGT.
For the last couple of years SR has been proposing SC TVC weekly but some how proposal is getting rejected. Even SCR is Also proposing. Currently in Sabari almost 2 days go. The whole idea was to keep the TT in a way which does away with so much day journey. Don't remember the proposed time but it had very little TAT at TVC
Hyb-kcvl spl weekly on sat which ranned before covid is example
Even sabari can be sended within 2-3 hrs if needed will reach sc at 9 am

SRR is the gateway of Malabar area , the reason for constructing 7 platform is there only for accommodating interchanging of pax to other direction trains. I'm not telling that NSG 1.2.3 and all. Sabari Exp in an important trains for Malabar area people that is the only reason railway is still doing the reversal there, in spite of all other skips and ZBTT. Im not very clear about railway stn financial category and all, i was a regular traveler of Sabari Exp to CTO from SRR and always seen a lot of people boarding this train and using connecting trains like 16606/16159/56616. Still railway is continuing this reversal is only for supporting a majority of people only else it could have been different.
It's not a big problem to reduce the time taken for reversal. A reversal isn't the end of the world. Taking an additional 20-30 minutes in a long distance journey to halt at a major junction is worth the service passengers get out of it.
Why to force people to pay large amounts of money AND go through the hassle of getting down at a random station, finding road transport, going to a another station and boarding a train again, when the train already goes to the junction?
