when MG line was existed there were daily 8trains to chennai on main line.now only 5 daily trains and three weekly trains are running on main line.these trains are only fullfilling 25%accomodations for delta people.railway board should consider restoration of janatha express,sethu express,mahal express,tiruchi-tambaram fast passenger,thanjavur-tambaram fast passenger to fullfill 100%accomodations for delta people.

atleast they should introduce a daily train from TPJ via mainline as exp/passenger. discussed here many times but no use. media also feels the same but no response from railway till nw. VM-CGL is single track that might be one of the reason
still there is an empty slot for receiving an express train at egmore.no problem to introduce a train.but caches are demand.it can arrive at egmore after salem express.
Egmore is not problem sir. VM CGL is more congested that is a problem
y u want to restore sethu via mainline??!!already most of the trains from rameswaram running via mainline oly...sethu is meant for ramanad dt n its a fast connectivity..rmm exp,bbs exp,bsb exp,tpty exp from rmm running via mainline..
no sir.we dont want sethu express.just an example i told to him.chendur express is an alternate for sethu.we already have 4 trains to rameswaram.
