Katwa Howrah Cash collecting train arriving Seoraphuli. The picture is to show the one-side supported mast with cable support, used due to space constraints on other side of track.

These trains collect cash of tickets sold at stations & hence popular as Cash Gari/Cash train. Most of these trains arrive at divisional headquarters in afternoon. The trains have slow schedule with some extra stop time at every station of collection.

In Sealdah division, Cash trains have a coach exclusive for cash box, with staffs of commercial department & RPF. (Passengers not allowed to board) /blog/post/3067732

Whereas in Howrah division, I see, they don't have such cash collection, but a clerk of every station boards the guard cab with a register & they sign on it. (I believe it is related to the cash collection record)

The cash trains of Howrah division are:
37832 between Barddhaman-Adisaptagram
36838 between Palla Road-Belanagar
37246 between Bandel-Baidyabati
37056 between Seoraphuli-Liluah
37362 between Arambagh-Diara
37922 between Katwa-Bansberia
