Now razed, the Hussainiwala railway station, which once served as the “Gateway to Lahore”, comes to life for two days in a year. i.e, on Martyrs’ day (23 March) and Baisakhi Mela (13/14 April) respectively. On these days, Northern Railway run Special DMU train's to ferry people to the “National Martyrs' Memorial/Samadhi Sthal”. One have to go on foot for about 1.5km to reach the Samadhi Sthal from here. Fare is ₹10 per ticket and schedule of these trains are as follows :

You can catch the train from HSW at 09:40, 11:10, 12:55, 14:35, 16:20, 18:00 hours and from FZP at 10:00, 11:30, 13:15, 14:55, 16:38, 18:20 hours respectively. The train will arrive at FZR at 10:10, 11:45, 13:35, 15:10, 16:50, 18:30 hours.
