suppose when i purchase a ticket, status was rac 92...now when i post it at iri, status is rac73...either there may be an option of manually feeding in the pnr status of booking along with date of booking for better prediction...or at least iri can store the data of posting time...that is rac 69 on 12th july 10hrs42min...this will help in following cases-
suppose i post a status of rac 77/2 in tamilnadu express today with doj tomorrow(just an example). This may give a wrong impression that train running empty and some other confusion like pattern of wl decreasing too...

I totally agree with what you have said, and agree that it will help is easy prediction and will help us spot a pattern....but only questioned if there was a mechanism wherein IRI can automatically extract all this. If manual feeding is the way to go about it as u said, then it is the possible.
as you have the rejected my suggestion,i have the another suggestion. A "wl clearance trend" may be started. But again it is difficult as it varies season to season. So in this case the last wl cleared may be reflected if possible. If it is not possible, the last wl cleared as per our old pnr records may be reflected with a strong disclaimer that this is just suggestive. For eg.if you see vskp sc gr, wl 300-400 generally clears 9 out of 10 times, but if you see koaa ghy gr,its not so...so this may give rough idea...
nako ji, I have not rejected your the suggestion. It is a very good suggestion.
I the will ask Indian railway to release funds for setting up of a broad gauge PNR thesis and research development center.

if you are asking indian railways indeed, please ask for an all india passenger pnr support forum which may help passengers in giving a "probable" insight whether the tickets may confirm or not...just like our pnr forum...lakhs of passengers may be benefitted...
