way behind schedule running 12921 Mumbai - Surat Flying Ranee Superfast arriving at Borivali. The train was halted at suburban stations so that people going to Vasai -Virar belt can use it to reach home.
Due to this, the already overcrowded train was filled to the brim and people were hanging on to whatever they could hold on to.
I and my friend made a futile attempt to get inside the train. I finally managed to get inside the Valsad Fast passenger through the emergency window.
Even the AC compartments were not spared and reserved ticket holders were unable to get inside. Some people even tried to break the glass Windows to get inside the coach. Hardly surprising on a day even the AK Rajdhani was treated like an AC EMU!
The motormens strike has resulted in one casualty. One lady from Palghar allegedly fell of this very train after it left Borivali. Details awaited.
